Paperlane processes uploaded PDFs to generate Markdown output and a cleaner Notion-ready version. This page summarizes the data visible in the product today.
1. Data processed
The service receives the uploaded PDF, file name, conversion metadata, generated outputs, and usage events required for history and quota tracking.
2. Why this data is used
This data is used to convert the document, display recent history, calculate account usage, and preserve continuity across sessions based on the active plan.
3. Retention
Recent history is retained according to the active plan: 7 days on Free, 30 days on Pro, and 45 days on Team.
4. Customer responsibility
You should only upload documents you are authorized to process and confirm that the confidentiality level matches your own contractual and regulatory obligations.
